Spring Has Sprung!

April showers bring May flowers. What do May flowers bring?

Pilgrims!

That was a riddle I learned back in elementary school and it stuck. It stuck so much that whenever it’s Springtime, I sing-song that riddle in my head whenever someone mentions April, Spring or rain. And at this time of the year, it’s almost every day, sometimes multiple times a day. Oy.

Do you know what else April showers bring? Worms. Blech. I hate it when it rains and it smells like dirt and worms. Yuck, yuck, yuck. And then the worms attract the birds. And the birds slurp and chirp their butts off and poop everywhere. Blah.

But hey, at least it’s getting warmer and the landscape is looking greener. Summer will be here before we know it. As I look around my yard, I see a big clean-up job ahead…for our lawn service. Last year we tried to maintain our yard ourselves. And when I say we, I really mean my husband. (Remember, I have those dirt, bug and plant issues.) He did okay but not great. Admittedly, yard maintenance is not one of our talents. Not even a hidden one. So, for this year we decided to go back to a lawn service. When in doubt, source it out. Thank cheez-its for lawn service. They start this week.

Happy Spring y’all!
